This is VicToRia's twenty-fifth week home, and it's time for some more riding.

After receiving an e-mail from Bryan (aka LittlFzrChic - Girlfriends account), a fellow VTR owner, about a cool forum for SoCal Sportbike owners called SoCal Sportbike, I decided to sign up. While I was on the forum I read a response to my introduction post from Marcelo (aka UnimatrixZero), about wanting to see my Super Hawk in person. I decided to Instant Message him and find out if he wanted to go for a ride. Luckily he did and we planned a trip to the Rock Store, since he had never been there before. I decided to give my buddy Chad a call to see if he wanted to join us. Lucky for us he did.

I told Marcelo I would meet him halfway between our homes at 9:00 am at an Arby's in San Fernando, just off the 118 Freeway. In order to make it on time I had to leave my place by 8:30 am. Chad and I agreed to meet at a Chevron station close to our places in Moorpark and then go and meet Marcelo. Chad showed up a bit late (15 minutes) but thanks to a high speed run down the 118, we arrived at Arby's by 9:05. Marcelo still hadn't arrived so I felt at ease and decided to get some pictures.

Once Marcelo arrived we stopped at a gas station, so Marcelo could fill up, and jumped on the 405 Freeway. We took the 405 until we reached the 101 and took the 101 to Topanga Canyon Blvd. We then took Topanga Canyon to the beginning of Mulholland Hwy. We zipped down Mulholland Hwy until we reached the Rock Store. Since this was Marcelo's first time there I had to get a picture of him at the famous Rock Store.

We all decided to get some breakfast when we saw a brand new Ducati 999 parked out front. The magazine pictures really don't do this bike justice. My pictures probably don't either but let me tell you, this bike is sweet. It was certainly the main attraction at the Rock Store. I was just getting ready to put my camera away, so we could eat some breakfast, when I saw a sweet blue Aprillia Falco pulling up. I just love sport twins so I had to get a picture of it. I had no idea it was Brad (aka racerxlilbro). He parked right next to Marcelo's R1.

Once we got inside and ordered breakfast, Marcelo recognized Brad and pointed him out to me. Once we finished breakfast we chatted with Brad for a bit before he headed up to Latigo Canyon. We looked at more bikes for a bit before heading to Latigo ourselves. Once we reached PCH we decided to head over to Neptune's Net for some more pictures and then head up Yerba Buena Rd, all 188 turns of it.

By the time we finished Yerba Buena it was past 1:00 pm and Chad had to get home to take his recently purchased Ducati in for its 6000 mile valve adjustment. We decided to head up Decker Canyon Road until we reached the 101. Marcelo jumped on the 101 headed home while Chad and I took the backway home to Moorpark.

The day was an absolute blast. My round trip was over 122 miles, half of which was on the freeways and the other half on twisty canyon roads. I'm certainly glad I joined the forum when I did and met some more cool riders. I plan to find out when the next group of riders will be heading out for a ride. I think some of my local buddies plan to do a New Years day ride. You can bet I'll be geared up and rolling for that one.
