This is VicToRia's sixth week home, and it's time for some serious riding.
I did manage to install the HyperPro Steering Dampener before the ride.
The upgrades from last week were certainly needing to get tested.
I went with a good friend Jim (aka YodaDada).
He owns the beautiful Silver FZ-1 you see in the pictures.
We decided to explorer the Los Padres National Forest:

It was quite a trip. The weather started kind of bad, very foggy and slick roads
We decided to stop wiping off our face sheilds and get a bite to eat for brunch at an IHOP. (near #3 on map)
By the time we came out the weather was perfect. We made a dash from there to a Biker Stop, Wolf's Grill. (near #4)
I remembered that I had a camera again and we took some more pictures. Usuaully, there are few motorcyclist here
but, today we only saw one. The roads were fairly clear of traffic but were quite dirty or invisibly slick from new road work.

Extremely fun day all in all.
About 250 miles total with a few stretches (#8 - #9) that safely allowed for top gear, full throttle, runs to near top speed.
Most of the trip was a fairly slow, 35 mph (posted) turns, with a few 10 or 15 mph (posted) turns of twisty canyon roads .
Quote from Jim
I just got in to work after the ride. That was outstanding. I did this ride once before but this time was much more fun. I met Stan at his place 8:00am. It was very overcast and our visors got wet real fast. Some places on the road were wet so careful was our first part of the ride. At one point we stopped at a cross road to figure out if we needed to go left or right. Before we made the decision to go right a very clean lowered pickup went by. I did mention that parts of the road got wet right? Well, I guess the guy in the pickup didn’t think it was a big deal. When we turned this one corner there he was standing outside of his truck talking on his cell phone. That truck had spun out and backed it’s self into a tree. We did ride careful for a few reasons, our visors kept getting wet, parts of the road got wet and we found some road we had never been on before. I for one don’t mind running roads that I’ve never been on before and these turned out to be great. Stan is really lucky to have such nice twisty roads right in his back yard. We got on track and off to Filmore we went. We still had to wipe our visors so we decided to stop at IHOP and got some coffee and breakfast while we let the sun do it’s magic. After a short while we resumed our ride. It did clear up and it did get warm. We had plenty of water so the heat was not going to be a problem. We hit the big sweepers and Stan did most of the pace work. That was a real fun ride. Lots of changes in altitude, scenery, road condition, just lots of fun. Thanks Stan. ... all those elevation changes in Lockwood? Compression in one corner un-weight in another and whoops in the straights that you can get air off of if you hit em fast enough. The whole ride was fun and now it’s time for me to go home and take a nap.
I had a blast, but afterwards was incredibly tired
AND in trouble from the wife for being 90 minutes late getting home

Looks like I might have to wait a little while before I ask to go on another ride
